Moving Checklist

1. Declutter and donate unwanted items.
2. Label boxes clearly and make an inventory list.
3. Pack fragile items carefully with appropriate materials, such as bubble wrap or packing paper.
4. Leave dresser drawers full, removing only the fragile items.
5. Disconnect and defrost refrigerator 24 hours before the move.
6. Make arrangements for pets and children on moving day.
7. Prepare a moving essentials box with items that will need to be accessed first (e.g. toiletries, bed sheets, cleaning supplies, etc.).
8. Confirm details and address with Firemen Movers DFW.
9. Ensure all valuables, important documents and electronics are packed separately.
10. Notify utilities, post office and government agencies of your address change.
11. Have payment arrangements (cash, venmo or card, cash payments will receive a 5% discount!).
12. Sit back and relax while our professional movers handle the heavy lifting.
13. Double check that all items are loaded onto the truck.
14. Inspect your old and new premises for damages.
15. Sign off on the final bill.
16. Settle into your new home and enjoy!.
